Pakistan, China to Set Up Space Science Training Centre under 2025–2029 Plan
Pakistan and China will establish a Space Science Training Centre under the 2025–2029 Action Plan, focusing on astronaut training, lunar exploration, and advanced satellite technologies for agriculture, climate, and urban planning.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China have taken a major step in expanding their partnership into the field of advanced space sciences. Both countries have agreed to establish a Pakistan Space Science Training Centre, aimed at astronaut training, space technology development, and collaborative research.
The agreement is part of the China-Pakistan Action Plan (2025–2029), designed to further strengthen cooperation in emerging sectors alongside traditional areas like trade, infrastructure, and defense.
🚀 A Leap Towards Human Spaceflight
The five-year action plan will focus on the joint selection and training of astronauts, opening the door for Pakistan’s participation in future human spaceflight missions in collaboration with China.
Officials confirmed that discussions on the establishment of the Pakistan Space Center are also ongoing. Once completed, this hub will serve as the backbone for research, development, and the practical application of satellite and space technologies in Pakistan.
